Camp Frenda Summer Camp FAQ
Q: Can I come visit my child while he/she is at camp?
A: We prefer not to have visitors during the week while camps are in session. If there is an emergency or special circumstance, please contact our camp office.
Q: Is your camp nut-free?
A: No, Camp Frenda is not a nut-free camp. Because our menu is vegetarian, nuts are used more frequently in our menu. We do however offer nut-free meals for those with food allergies. Please be sure to always make note of every food allergy when you register online.
Q: What medical services are available to my child while he/she is at camp?
A: Our camp has an on-staff doctor and 1-2 nurses available 24/7 during our summer sessions.
Q: What time is pickup/drop-off?
A: Registration on Sunday begins at 3:00 pm. Pickup time on Sunday is 10:00 am sharp. PLEASE NOTE, sessions ending on Friday will also follow the 10:00 am pick up time. For safety reasons, campers will only be released to those listed on the authorized pick up list by parents/guardians at the time of registration. Please be prepared to present photo identification.
Q: What type of meals do you serve?
A: Camp Frenda is a vegetarian camp. Our kitchen staff work hard to provide a variety of fun and delicious entrees for our kids. Some of the items on our menu include pizza, subs, lasagna, tacos, perogies, burritos, burgers & fries, spaghetti and meatballs, and much more. We also have a giant salad bar available for lunch and fruit bar for breakfast. All vegetarian meat-substitutes are made from soy or nuts.
Q: Why are personal music and gaming devices banned?
A: The primary purpose of Camp Frenda's summer camp sessions is to enjoy nature, interact will fellow campers, and sense the presence of our Creator . We find that personal music and gaming devices often counteract the experience that we hope each camper will have. If brought to camp, these devices will be held in the camp office and returned to the camper at the end of their stay.
